World Geography
World Geography
Grades 9 & up
Course Description+
World Geography studies the relationships among people, places, and environment over time. Geographers have identified five themes that can be used to study geography and the role it plays in our lives. This course is built around the discussion of these five themes: location (longitude/latitude), place (physical characteristics), human/environment interaction (how people respond to and alter their environment), movement (both people and things), and region (an area unified by some feature). Students will be utilizing maps, graphs, diagrams, and tables in their study of geography.
