Video Production Camp (Broward Campus)
Grades 5 - 8
Course Description+
American Heritage video production camp offers campers a full broadcast and video production experience. Campers will learn how to use state of the art equipment while learning to edit and produce a news-style production broadcast. Each camper will get hands-on training on how to run the lights, cameras, and teleprompter. They will learn how to anchor when they star in and produce their own AHDC show. Campers will learn video editing skills using a wide range of applications beginning with introductory programs such as iMovie and advancing to editing suites like Final Cut Pro. Led by a multimedia teacher who has worked as an industry professional, campers will also learn how to add effects and animation to their videos using programs from the Adobe suite of software like After Effects, Photoshop, and Animate. Campers will take away fundamental skills that they will be able to apply to any editing software suite to which they may be exposed in the future. Although our specialty camps have a range of different aged campers all campers are grouped with other campers closest to their age. Our energetic and fully-trained staff are carefully selected based on experience, character, and leadership. Every staff member is background checked, as we continue to maintain the highest level of safety and security on campus.
