Summer Jam Camp (Broward Campus)

This summer we are very excited to introduce Summer Jam Camp, our very first Rock Band Camp, Summer Jam Camp! This 8 week summer camp program is being offered in (2) 4 week sessions. Campers will be introduced to and learn how to play a variety of instruments such as the electric guitar, drums, bass, and keyboards. Summer Jam will also give campers the opportunity to practice their own vocal skills. They will learn about their vocal range, breathing techniques, and how to project their voices. Campers will be instructed and practice individually and in group sessions. Summer Jam campers will perform shows around campus and go on electrifying musical field trips. They will record their own music in a real recording studio, make music videos, and create memories that will stay with them forever! Each 4 week session will have different offerings, so come all Rockers and spend the summer with us at Summer Jam Camp! All campers will swim daily, weather permitting, and have limited fun outdoor activities.

Mr. Kristopher Winselmann has many years of experience conducting and performing music. After graduating from American Heritage Schools, Plantation Campus, Mr. Winselman attended Florida Gulf Coast University where he received his bachelors of music education K-12th grade. He has performed with orchestras across the state of Florida and big band groups such as IL Divo, Johnny Mathis, and Frankie Valli. His knowledge of musicianship also extends beyond the orchestra; Mr. Winselman teaches piano, guitar, bass, drumming, and singing in our after school Contemporary Music Club (CMC) during the school year.

Camper groupings vary by program. Day Camp programs will be grouped by age/grade/gender, Specialty Programs are grouped together by age, interest, and/ or skill level. Programs are not guaranteed and require a minimum enrollment. Campers are supervised at all times by our energetic and fully-trained staff. Our counselors are carefully selected based on experience, character, and leadership. Every staff member is background checked, as we continue to maintain the highest level of safety and security on campus. At American Heritage Day Camp we do our very best to make sure our staff is placed with the appropriate age group to ensure a successful and fun summer.
