The American Heritage Summer Online Program is offering Junior High Prep for Success Science Fair Program for all students enrolled in Junior High Honors science courses. This one-week course will be taught online by Mr. Rodriguez, Chair of the American Heritage Science Department. the instructor will work with the students to narrow the topic for their projects. The students will also begin the research process and learn to navigate the scholarly research databases and search engines necessary to complete a successful Science Fair Project.

Osmel Rodriguez is an environmental science teacher at American Heritage and he has 11 plus years teaching experience at American Heritage School.He has been the Science Department chair for several years. He also enjoys coaching the Science Bowl team. His AP Environmental Science students pass at a rate between 97 - 98%, most earning scores of 4 or 5..
A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll, and a specific teacher is not guaranteed. It is the parents’ responsibility to check with their child's school when seeking credit for a course. For online courses, the students’ cameras MUST be turned on at all times, and attendance is mandatory. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording by students during the course. Students must be age appropriate for the course, and all students must adhere to proper online etiquette. For online courses, young children must be supervised by a parent at all times.
