Course Description+

Physical Education students will develop a better understanding of a healthy and fit lifestyle physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. The program is based on movement, social development, and self-realization. This course meets the P.E. requirement for graduation.

This 3-week semester course is offered for first time credit, for credit grade replacement, or for non-credit enrichment in preparation for taking the course in the future. Please check with your school regarding credit from outside institutions.

3 weeks course

For 0.50 credit or audit the student should only take one session in one specified 3-week time period

Meet Coach Lori Rembe+

Coach Lori Rembe holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. She is the Physical Education Department Curriculum Chairperson and a physical education fitness instructor at American Heritage School, currently teaching the Core Fitness course offered at the senior high level. Over the past 16 years, Coach Rembe has taught various PE courses at the lower school, junior high, and senior high grade levels. She has also coached JH Girls Basketball as well as Varsity/JV Girls & Boys Volleyball. Prior to teaching at American Heritage School, she coached collegiately at NSU, Lambuth University, JSU and MSU. For the past three years, she has coached the women's volleyball team at Broward College. Coach Rembe also competed as a professional volleyball player in Mulhouse, France, following a highly successful collegiate career at MSU in both volleyball and track & field.

Meet Coach Seymour Loftman+

Coach Seymour Loftman holds a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University. He has been teaching for 8 years and enjoys helping students reach their goals in life. Seymour has been a part of the American Heritage family since 2001, as he graduated from American Heritage School and later returned for the opportunity to teach physical education here. Currently, he is also the head football coach for the junior varsity and oversees the Fellowship of Christian athlete program for the varsity football team.

Meet Coach Lyndon Bell+

Coach Lyndon Bell is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who has twenty years of experience working with prestigious high school and college teams. He is also been a licensed Florida educator since 2008 and has taught a variety of fitness and weight training courses at the high school level. Coach Bell attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, and earned a Bachelor in Modern Foreign Language with a Minor in Physical Education and Athletic Coaching. He has been a teacher and coach at American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach campus, since 2020 and is an integral part of many teams' conditioning regimens.

Meet Coach Jacob Bayha+

Jacob Bayha is a certified business teacher in Florida with an MBA from Alfred University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington and Jefferson College. He currently teaches business classes in the high school and junior high physical education classes. He has been teaching at American Heritage Schools, Palm Beach Campus, since 2022.

Additional Course Information+

A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll, and a specific teacher is not guaranteed. It is the parents’ responsibility to check with their child's school when seeking credit for a course. For online courses, the students’ cameras MUST be turned on at all times, and attendance is mandatory. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording by students during the course. Students must be age appropriate for the course, and all students must adhere to proper online etiquette. For online courses, young children must be supervised by a parent at all times.
